Akira Isola

Model, make-up artist, and collaborator—Isola brings editorial precision and creative insight to every project she touches.

Some talents defy categories. Akira Isola is one of them. At once a model, make-up artist, and creative consultant, she embodies the new generation of multi-disciplinary creatives reshaping fashion.

I first met Akira in 2022 at Fujifilm Sydney, where her distinct style and quiet confidence made an immediate impression. Our paths crossed again at Australian Fashion Week 2024 at Carriageworks, where she had already begun to establish herself as a standout in Australia’s fashion scene.

In 2025, I photographed Akira in studio for the first time alongside fellow photographer Akil Jacobson. The shoot revealed what many already knew: Akira is a master of posing, translating mood and narrative into shape and gesture with effortless precision.

Since then, she has become more than just a subject in front of the lens. Akira has been a trusted collaborator and consultant, contributing not only as a model but also as a make-up artist and a creative partner. From the “ONNAMUSHA” shoot—where she worked with model Nalani and stylist Bhavinder Sanghera—to countless test and editorial projects, her ability to move seamlessly between roles has been invaluable.

Currently signed with Facon Models and working independently as a freelance make-up artist across Newcastle and Sydney, Akira brings a rare dual perspective to every project. She is as invested in the artistry of image-making as she is in the execution, offering insightful feedback that strengthens the final vision.

More than a model, Akira Isola is a creative force whose editorial instincts, mastery of posing, and collaborative spirit make her an indispensable presence both in front of and behind the camera.
